87, formally of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2018. Born in Nasonville, he was the son of the late Eugene & Lydia (Varin) Desjarlais. He served in the U.S. Air Force, (Korean War). He was a Chef for over 50 years at various hotels, resorts and country clubs. Richard was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, he also enjoyed fishing and going to the casino.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Laura Carvalho, and her husband Joe of Pawtucket, Donna Powers and her husband Richard of North Providence, Debbie Bozzi of Florida, 1 step-daughter Debra Desjarlais of Johnston, 4 sons, Allen of Cranston, David of Pawtucket, Richard of Tennessee and Ronald of Florida. He is also survived by his brother Armand "Pete" of Florida, sister Lucille Bellefeuille of Canada. Brother of the late, Eugene, Lionel, Euclide, Gilbert, Olive and Adrienne. He is survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 31st, from 1 - 3pm at Keefe Funeral Home, five Higginson Ave. Lincoln, RI. Relative and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln RI 02865.
